Byoung Ok Min

Byoung Ok Min is one of the pioneering female Korean American artists. She received a Master of Fine Arts at the Pratt Institute in New York, and has invested more than 50 years in abstract paintings. Min has continually evolved, reconstituting imaginative elements as a painterly and structural form.

The existence of simple abstract elements in Min’s work, and the tension between them, stimulate the sensibility of the viewers. To the artist, the tension is a creation. The existence of that tension is the stimulation that creates the conversation between artist and viewer.
